Women, Leadership, and Raising Our Kids on the Rock of Faith

There’s something powerful happening right now in the world of faith and leadership — something that’s especially meaningful for women and mothers who are trying to live out their purpose while raising the next generation.
When I saw that Erika Kirk, wife of the late Charlie Kirk, stepped into the role of CEO of Turning Point USA after his passing, I was deeply moved.
Charlie’s love for God, his defense of family, and his boldness for truth have inspired so many believers across the country. His loss is heartbreaking — and yet, through that pain, we’ve also witnessed something remarkable: Erica stepping forward, not only as a mother but as a leader.

And that right there? That’s what this is all about. Because her example reminds us that women are not limited to one lane. We are capable of nurturing, leading, building, and raising — all at the same time.
Women Can Be Both
Somewhere along the way, society started pushing the idea that women have to choose: you can be a homemaker or a leader. A stay-at-home mom or a career woman. But that’s not how God designed us.
We are wired to nurture and lead. To serve and create. To raise our children while also living out the purpose God placed within us.
Watching Erika Kirk take the reins of leadership while continuing to raise her children is such a beautiful picture of that truth. She’s showing her daughter that there are no limits on what a woman of faith can do.
I think of my own mom — how she balanced motherhood and work with grace and strength. She taught me that purpose doesn’t stop at the front door. When she walked into a room, she carried respect and presence. I saw that. And I hope my kids see it in me, too.
Because when our children see us living out our purpose, they learn something priceless: that faith and calling are meant to be lived boldly, not hidden quietly.
The World Is Loud — But God’s Truth Is Louder
Now let’s be real — while we’re trying to lead well and raise good humans, the world is loud.
Not the fun kind of loud where you’re dancing around the kitchen with your kids — I’m talking about the kind of noise that confuses, manipulates, and distorts truth.
Our kids are hearing messages every day that contradict God’s Word. The enemy would love nothing more than to distract their hearts and pull their focus away from truth.
That’s why it’s more crucial than ever that our voices — and God’s voice through us — are louder.
We can chase dreams, lead businesses, and step into our callings, but if we’re not grounding our families in faith, the world will be more than ready to fill that void.
Let’s be the moms who pray with our kids, who talk about Jesus at the dinner table, who model faith in the small moments — even if it’s between arguments about who’s eating their broccoli. (Because let’s be honest, there’s always a broccoli battle.)
They’re listening, even when it doesn’t seem like it.
Leadership Through a Mother’s Lens
What makes Erika Kirk’s story so powerful isn’t just that she stepped into a leadership role — it’s how she’s doing it. As a mom.
Women bring something sacred and unique to leadership. Compassion. Emotional intelligence. Perspective. And yes, the unmatched ability to juggle seventeen things at once while remembering which kid needs the crust cut off their sandwich.
The world needs more of that kind of leadership.
It needs your ideas, your creativity, your boldness, your heart. Your home and your dreams are not at war with each other.
You can raise your babies and build your legacy at the same time. You can lead at work and still lead your family to Christ.
It’s not easy — but anything worth doing rarely is.
Raising the Next Generation on the Rock of Faith
At the end of the day, our children will learn more from what we do than what we say.
When they see us chase dreams, pray through challenges, and stay grounded in truth, they begin to understand what real faith looks like.
That’s the legacy we’re building — one rooted in God’s Word, led by women who aren’t afraid to step up, and strengthened by faith that refuses to bow to the noise of the world.
Imagine the ripple effect if more women stepped fully into their God-given roles — leading at home, in communities, and in workplaces, all while grounding their families in faith. That’s how we shape the next generation. That’s how we shift culture.
Final Thoughts
As mothers and women of faith, our greatest calling will always be to love and raise our children well. But we’re also called to use our gifts to impact the world around us.
Erika Kirk’s example reminds us that leadership and motherhood are not competing forces — they are beautifully intertwined.
So, ask the Lord what He’s calling you to. What dream has He placed in your heart? What step of faith have you been avoiding out of fear or guilt?
Then take that step — boldly, joyfully, and unapologetically.
Because your children don’t just need to hear about faith. They need to see it in you.
